If you are a seasonal or part-time resident, having someone check your property on a regular basis can actually save you money.  Being in real estate, I have emphasized hiring a home watch service to my clients because I have seen what can happen when a property is unoccupied for an extended period.  Air conditioners stop working, storms cause water intrusion that increase humidity levels creating the perfect environment for mold and mildew and any number of other issues just by losing power.

I have been asked on numerous occasions to recommend someone to provide this service and,  as a result, decided to add home watch to my list of real estate services.
